internationales,
je suis en contact avec l'ambassade d'Irak en France. L'attach� culturel
vient
de m'envoyer le dossier (en document attach�) de M. Hyder Y. Kawi qui a
une bourse
de trois ans pour faire une th�se en France et a un projet de th�se en
optimisation.
Il recherche un directeur de th�se et une universit� o� il pourrait
s'inscrire.

2- Post-Doctoral Scholarships, State University of Campinas

The Institute of Mathematics, Statistics, and Scientific Computation at
the State
University of Campinas, seeks candidates for post-doctoral positions
through the
National Programme for Post- Doctoral Scholarships (CAPES). Two
scholarships are
allocated to Mathematics, two to Applied Mathematics, and one to Statistics.
We look for candidates with strong and proven research record and
potential. Possible
interaction with the research groups of the Institute may be an advantage.
The scholarship consists of a monthly payment of 4100 brazilian reals
per month
(tax-free money), plus some travel grant. The positions are initially
for one year
and may be renewed depending on progress.
The scholars are expected to teach some undergraduate or graduate
classes (at most
one course per semester), depending on the necessity of the
corresponding Department.
The candidates are expected to send via e-mail, the following documents:
Curriculum Vitae with a list of publications.
Research project and statement.
Names, addresses, and e-mails of two to three professors who could send
us reference
letters if asked.

3- Post-doctoral position in optimization at University of Calgary

As a part of Collaborative Research Group on Optimization: Theory,
Applications and
Algorithms

Institute for
the Mathematical Sciences (PIMS), applications are invited for a
post-doctoral position
in optimization at University of Calgary, Calgary AB Canada. The
position is for 1-year,
with possible extension to 2 years, tentatively starting in Fall of
2013. The position
will be open until filled.
A successful candidate should hold a PhD in Mathematics, Applied
Mathematics, Computer
Science, Operations Research or related area.
Of primary interest are applicants interested in the following topics:
- computational methods for solving conic optimization problems over
p-cones,
and/or
- applications of optimization to optimal radiotherapy treatment planning,
and/or
- curvature of the central path.
Alternative PDF research proposals will also be considered.
Applicants are required to submit a CV, a statement of research
interests, and provide
two letters of reference.

Ce s�minaire aborde les probl�matiques du guidage en rendez-vous
orbital en
prenant en compte des contraintes op�rationnelles. Aussi, si les aspects
fondamentaux de la r�solution du probl�me de commande optimale seront
abord�s

8- -> 7�me Semaine d��tudes Maths et Entreprises (SEME)

Universit� de Limoges - XLIM
Les SEME s'adressent aux doctorants et post-doctorants en Math�matiques et
Math�matiques appliqu�es.
Elles peuvent aussi accueillir de jeunes chercheurs d'autres disciplines, en
fonction des sujets.
Apr�s les pr�sentations de probl�matiques n�cessitant une approche
innovante
par les industriels le premier jour, les participants travaillent par petits
groupes durant le reste de la semaine sur les probl�mes pos�s. Chaque
groupe se
consacre � un probl�me. Toutes les contributions sont les bienvenues et
il n'est
pas n�cessaire d'�tre expert d'un sujet pour participer.
Le dernier jour, les groupes de travail pr�sentent oralement leurs
avanc�es aux
industriels, puis rendent un rapport �crit dans le mois qui suit.
Le rapport est diffus� sur les archives ouvertes du CNRS (HAL).
Pour cette 7�me SEME, les industriels ayant propos� des sujets sont:

Pour les participants, les b�n�fices sont multiples:

attribue 6 cr�dits � ses doctorants pour leur participation � une SEME.
** Se confronter � une probl�matique industrielle concr�te et mettre en
oeuvres
ses connaissances et comp�tences, en toute libert� scientifique.
** S'enrichir scientifiquement, professionnellement et humainement, au
contact
d'autres jeunes chercheurs d'origine et de sp�cialit�s vari�es.
Les frais de d�placement et d'h�bergement peuvent �tre pris en charge
par les
organisateurs, dans la limite des cr�dits disponibles.
