CMU Tenure track position in Applied Analysis

Carnegie Mellon University, The Department of Mathematical Sciences at
Carnegie Mellon University invites applications for a tenure-track
position, possibly at a senior level, to begin September 1, 2012. The
position is in applied analysis, broadly construed, with preference
given to areas that complement or strengthen the Department's expertise
in nonlinear partial differential equations and the calculus of
variations. Preference will be given to candidates who have shown
outstanding promise and/or excellent accomplishments in research in the
above areas, and are pursuing a vigorous research program including
major contributions beyond the doctoral dissertation. Applicants should
submit all materials electronically at www.mathjobs.org . This includes
a curriculum vitae, list of publications, a statement describing current
and planned research, and at least three letters of recommendation.
Recommenders who are unable to submit their letters electronically may
mail them to the Applied Analysis Appointments Committee, Department of
Mathematical Sciences, Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh, PA 15213.
Processing of applications will begin on January 15, 2012.
