Titchmarsh Postdoctoral Research Fellowship in the Analysis of Nonlinear
Partial Differential Equations

Salary Range: Starting salary £29,099 to £30,872



Appointment Term: 2 years
Applications are invited for a postdoctoral research fellowship based at
the Centre for Nonlinear PDE. Major funding for new faculty appointments,
research fellows, research students and visitors is provided through an
EPSRC Science and Innovation award. The Centre, which is directed by
Professor Sir John Ball FRS, aims to create a stimulating research
environment with the critical mass to make major research progress and
provide leadership in the area of nonlinear PDE within the UK. The
successful candidate will take up the post before the start of the 2012/13
academic year. The position is for two years duration and is open to any
area of the analysis of nonlinear PDE.
The successful candidate will be free to conduct their own research
programme in the analysis of nonlinear PDE and will be expected to involve
themselves in the activities of the Centre for Nonlinear PDE.
With a PhD awarded, or a Masters degree and PhD submitted, in mathematics
or a related discipline, you will have a strong record of research and
interest in the analysis of nonlinear PDE and the ability to pursue
research independently and in collaboration with others.
