On weak notions of gradient in metric measure spaces

Abstract. In the seminar I will illustrate several notions of (modulus of)
gradient arising in the theory of Sobolev classes in metric measure
spaces. A byproduct of the recent work with G.Savare' and N.Gigli is the
equivalence of these notions, obtained via optimal transportation tools.
The open case of W^{1,1} or BV maps will also be illustrated.
