1- Postdoctoral position in Mathematical Programming in LIF
(Marseille, France)

A postdoctoral position is available in the area of Mixed Integer
Nonlinear Programming (MINLP) in the computer science laboratory LIF
(http://www.lif.univ-mrs.fr/) of Aix-Marseille University. The research
will be done in the Algorithms Combinatorics and Operations Research
group with Pierre Bonami. The postdoc could start as soon as September
2011 and will be funded for one year in the context of a "Google
Research Award".

The goal of the postdoc is to conduct research in the area of MINLP.
Ideally, the research should have both theoretical and computational
aspects and should lead to the development of new open-source codes for
addressing MINLPs or to the improvement of existing ones (Bonmin,
Couenne,...).

The position is open to candidates of any nationality and the selection
will be based on the candidates research records and their potential to
make a significant contribution in the context of the postdoc.

Applicants, should hold a Ph.D. in optimization or operations research
and have a background in integer programming and/or nonlinear
programming. A good knowledge of computer programming (C/C++) and
previous experience in programming with optimization software (CPLEX,
COIN-OR, XPRESS,...) would be a big plus. Of course, ideally, previous
works in MINLP would also be suitable.

2- Week-end "Math�matiques & Sports de Nature"

les 3 et 4 septembre prochains � St Gervais sur Mare (34610),
� l'occasion des 60 ans de notre coll�gue Dominique AZE.

Lieu : St Gervais sur Mare est un petit village m�di�val, aux confins
de l'H�rault
et du Tarn, pr�s du parc naturel du Haut-Languedoc. D. Az�, qui
poss�de une maison
secondaire pas loin, vtt-iste �m�rite, conna�t tous les coins du site
sur le bout
de... ses roues.
Acc�s par la gare de B�darieux (17km) ou par la route.

Conf�renciers : Ils seront discut�s en fonction des souhaits de D. Az�.
Seuls 6 � 8 expos�s sont pr�vus, le samedi apr�s-midi et le dimanche
apr�s-midi.

Dimanche matin : R�serv�e aux activit�s ou sports de nature ; les
possibilit�s sont
nombreuses sur place, certaines seront organis�es (comme la sortie vtt
avec D. Az�).

H�bergement : La r�gion est touristique, il est prudent de r�server
assez t�t.
Chambres d'h�tes disponibles � Saint-Gervais.

Inscription libre sans frais. Indiquer sa participatoin � l'un des
organisateurs
pour la planification de la logistique.

4- Optimization Games and Dynamics

The aim of the conference is to bring together researchers and
scientists to discuss
advances in optimization theory, game theory, and dynamical systems,
the interconnections
between these disciplines, and their applications in areas such as
control theory, biology,
the calculus of variations, learning theory, transportation theory,
statistics, economics,
and inverse problems.
The conference is organized around 12 plenary talks and its language
is English.

5- Journ�es annuelles du GDR MOA

Le GdR MOA (Math�matiques de l'Optimisation et Applications) tiendra
ses journees annuelles a la Guadeloupe du 4 au 7 juin 2012, avec la
participation du GdR MPSC (traitement de l'image) :

Les GdR prennent en charge dans la limite des places disponibles
