Dear Colleagues,

Please forgive the intrusion, but I would be grateful if you could
please pass this on to anyone who might be interested:

There is an opening for a 2-year postdoctoral research position in my
group at the Vrije Universiteit in Amsterdam (www.chem.vu.nl) on the
subject "Density Functional Theory for strongly interacting
electrons" (for a perspective on the subject see Phys. Chem. Chem.
Phys., 2010, 12, 14405-14419), starting possibly within 2011 or early
2012.

Candidates should have a PhD in Physics, Chemistry or Applied
Mathematics. Experience with formal and computational aspects of
Density Functional Theory is highly desirable. Experience with
electronic structure calculations of low-dimensional systems will be
also relevant in the choice of the candidate. For candidates holding a
PhD in Applied Mathematics, experience with optimal transport problems
is required.
