Proposal of postdoc fellowship

The Centre for Mathematics of the University of Coimbra (CMUC) invites
applications for one-year postdoctoral research positions, beginning
September 2009.
Applicants should have a PhD in Mathematics (preferably obtained after
December 31, 2006) and a good command of English.
They must show considerable promise in one of the areas of research in
which the members of CMUC are currently active.

The positions obey the Portuguese scholarship system and the corresponding
salary is ? 1495 per month (tax free). No teaching duties are associated
with the positions.

poste de Chargé de Recherche, avec une charge d'enseignement réduite,

fait preuve de mobilité, et dont les travaux de recherche ont une

BCAM: International Call for researchers' positions

BCAM the newly created Basque Center for Applied Mathematics has just
opened an International Call, with the aim of appointing RESEARCHERS
on a temporary or permanent basis, in order to carry out research in
mathematics, with special emphasis on applied and cross-disciplinary
areas.

In particular, we are appointing positions for:

Ph.D. STUDENTS and POSTDOCTORAL FELLOWS in the areas of:

     * Partial differential equations, numerics and control
     * Multiphysics, inversion, and petroleum
     * Networks
     * Calculus of variations and elasticity
     * Mathematical biology

And SENIOR RESEARCHERS to develop and lead new research lines.
