Postdoctoral Research Position in Pavia

Applications are invited for a European Research Council-funded
postdoctoral research positions starting anytime after March 2010.

The successful candidates will work at the Institute for Applied Mathematics
and Information Technologies (IMATI) of the CNR in Pavia.

The research will form part of the 5-years ERC-funded program
     BioSMA: Mathematics for Shape Memory Technologies in Biomechanics.

This project is aimed at the mathematical description of the behavior
of special materials, especially shape memory alloys. The focus will be
broadly
interdisciplinary and include modeling, analytic, numerical, and
computational issues.
