Research Position Available within the framework of MIT-Portugal Program?
I have been involved in the MIT-Portugal Program and I am strongly 
committed to the development of smart polymers and biomaterials using 
supercritical fluid technology.

The contract is to be held for three years (ending by July 2011). The
gross salary is 44,000€ (forty four thousand euros) per year what should
be approximately $63,800. Deducting taxes and social security costs will
give approximately 29,100 € (twenty nine thousand and one hundred euros)
per year (approximately $42,000). The researcher to be contracted will
be involved in undergoing projects and will participate actively in the
teaching activities of Bio-Engineering Advanced Studies Course Program
(Nanobiotechnology and Biomaterials module) so excellent communication
skills are also desirable. An experienced researcher would be ideal!
Someone that is looking for a second post-doc position.
Qualifications include a PhD in engineering or science. Individuals with
degrees in materials science, mechanical engineering, chemical
engineering, polymer engineering, or chemistry are preferred. Desirable
qualifications include laboratory experience in synthesizing and
processing hydrogels and bio-based polymers, experience with polymer
characterization, and excellent communication skills.
