"Analytic intersection theory and an application to complex dynamics"
ABSTRACT: We have a localization theory of characteristic classes of
vector
bundles or sheaves, once we have some kind of vanishing theorem. One
type of
vanishing is by the existence of a frame. The localization theory
that arises
from this has many applications. One of them is an analytic
intersection theory
on singular varieties. As another type of vanishing, we have that of
Bott type,
which leads to a residue theory of singular holomorphic foliations.
In this talk, I try to explain the analytic intersection theory on
singular
varieties as above. Then I discuss residue theory on singular
surfaces and, as
an application, show the existence of a parabolic curve for a
holomorphic
self-map, tangent to the identity, of a complex surface with certain
type of
singularities, generalizing results of M. Abate (joint work with F.
Bracci).
