ANNOUNCEMENT

US-Chile Workshops:  New Developments in
Partial Differential Equations I

Pittsburgh, PA, USA, May 21–24, 2007

This is the first of two workshops funded by the National Science 
Foundation to start a collaborative research and training effort between 
the Center for Nonlinear Analysis at Carnegie Mellon University and the 
PDE group at the Center for Mathematical Modeling (CMM) and the 
Department of Mathematical Engineering of the University of Chile.

Three Main Areas of Emphasis:

     * Singular Perturbations
     * Quasilinear Elliptic Equations
     * Mass Transport in Nonequilibrium Systems

Graduate students, postdocs and scientists (non-tenured) with a recent 
Ph.D. degree are encouraged to contribute a presentation for this 
conference.

The deadline for submission of contributed abstracts and financial aid 
is April 10, 2007.
