Subject: Research studentships and postdocs in solid mechanics - deadline 1
    May

Dear Colleagues,
A 5 year EPSRC funded research programme, New Frontiers in the
Mathematics of Solids, will begin in Oxford in October 2006. There will
be 6 research studentships and 6 postdoctoral positions associated with
this programme, and some of these positions are advertised in the
attachments (or you can see them at
http://www.maths.ox.ac.uk/notices/vacancies/
<http://www.maths.ox.ac.uk/notices/vacancies/> ).
Please bring these opportunities to the attention of anyone who may
be interested. The posts represent an unusual opportunity to be involved
in a high-level multidisciplinary research programme blending modelling,
analysis and computation. Each advertised position has a different
flavour. I will be happy to answer any questions about the posts.
Please not the early deadline of 1 MAY for applications.

Regards,

John Ball
