EUROPEAN CONFERENCE on MATHEMATICS for INDUSTRY (ECMI 2006)

July  10-14, 2006, Leganés (Madrid), Spain

 

The 14th ECMI conference will take place from 10-14 July 2006 at the Leganés Campus of the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid, Spain.  It will be devoted to mathematical modelling, analysis, simulation and validation of problems arising in a practical context of interest for European Industry and commerce. The conference is intended for mathematicians, engineers and scientists, both from academia and industry, to meet and discuss current problems of mutual interest. It will also give advanced students and junior researchers the opportunity to present their work in an European forum, attain an overall impression of the uses of mathematics in industry and establish multidisciplinary contacts. 

 

There will be invited lectures by distinguished researchers, focus sessions,

minisymposia, contributed papers and posters.

There will be refereed conference proceedings, to be published by

Springer Verlag.

 

Plenary speakers include: A. Barrero, A. Bermúdez, V. Capasso, R. Caflisch, L.M.B.C. Campos, P. Degond, P. Deuflhard, S. Howison, F. Natterer, M. Ortiz, J. Stern.

Deadline for submission of proposals for minisymposia                      March 27th, 2006.

Deadline for submission of papers and posters                                    March 27th, 2006.

Notification of acceptance of papers and posters                                April 17th, 2006.

Deadline for submission of abstracts by minisymposium speakers   May, 1th, 2006.

Deadline for early-bird registration                                                          June 5th, 2006

Publication of time schedule                                                                    June 12th, 2006.

Deadline for submission of papers                                                         September, 18th, 2006.
