"Quasi-periodic Schroedinger operators - spectral theory and dynamics"

Abstract: The quasi-periodic schroeinger operator in one dimension has a very rich structure. It has a spectrum that tends to be a Cantor set, and may have absolutely cintinuous, singular continuous or pure point spectral types. From dynamical point of view it displays both integrable  and non-uniformly hyperboic dynamics with homoclinic solutions.
These operators have been intensively studied during the last 25 years but are still far from being completely understood.
