Within the activities of the first year of the European Network
``Homogenization and Multiple
Scales'', a school and a conference will be organized at the
University of Naples ``Federico II'' in
its Campus of Monte S. Angelo.

\noindent{\bf Dates:} 18-22 June, 2001.

\noindent{\bf Aim:} Introduce young researchers to different aspects
of homogenization theory,
and their connection with Material Science. The courses will be
geared to an audience of Ph.D.
and post-doctoral students.

\noindent{\bf Programme:} The following courses are planned.

\item{-} Enrique Zuazua and Carlos Castro (Universidad Complutense,
Madrid):

``Homogenization and Control'',

\noindent{\bf Financial support:} The Network is expected to provide
some grants  to cover

\noindent{\bf Social Programme:} A social dinner  will be organized
  on June 26.

50 Euros to be paid upon arrival (in Italian Lire).

The Network will provide some financial support to cover travel and
local expenses. Please
