Hamiltonian flows and special holonomy

I shall review some known constructions of metrics with special holonomy by methods of `flows' on hypersurface geometries. The talk will centre around metrics with holonomy in the exceptional Lie group G_2.http://cvgmt.sns.it/seminar/343/
