title (translated from french — mistakes are mine): Precise influence and determination domains for some hyperbolic problems

abstract: The natural description of the domain of determination in terms of influence curves is correct in the sense that the domain described is a domain of determination. In addition, that domain can be described by maximal solutions of Hamilton-Jacobi Equations and also are swept out by smooth spacelike deformations from the support of the initial data.
