- MCF 26 Equations aux dérivées partielles, modélisation, calcul des
variations
(Univ. Toulouse III)
The Mathematics Institute in Toulouse is looking for an assistant
professor with a broad mathematical interest in modelling and partial
differential equations to take part in research groups of recently
hired young professors whose research fields include nonlinear
elliptic variational problems, mathematical modeling and asymptotic
analysis in fluid mechanics, singularity analysis in condensed matter
physics and nonlinear Schrödinger equations. Priority will be given
to applications with a strong scientific record.
La modélisation et l'analyse des équations aux dérivéespartielles
sont deux thématiques de l'IMT qui jouissent d'une forte visibilité
nationale et internationale. Cette réputation a attiré dans les
dernières années l'arrivée de jeunes professeurs qui a permis le
développement de nouveaux sujets, notamment dans les domaines
suivants: - Modèles variationnels elliptiques non linéaires
(micromagnétisme, cristaux liquides, condensats de Bose-Einstein); -
Modélisation mathématique et analyse asymptotique en mécanique des
fluides; - Analyse des phénomènes singuliers issus de la physiquede
la matière condensée (ondes progressives, solitons, défauts vortex,
parois magnétiques), - Modèles de Schrödinger non linéaires.
L'objectif est de recruter un Maître de Conférences possédant un
spectre mathématique étendu, qui viendra accompagner les recrutements
PR récemment effectués dans ces thématiques en modélisation et EDP.
Il/elle renforcera l'activité de l'IMT en analyse appliquée, en
particulier en relation avec l'analyse des équations aux dérivées
partielles non linéaires, le calcul des variations et la modélisation,
l'excellence du dossier scientifique étant le critère principal.
