<p>During the months March-April 2013 an intensive period on

<p>“Evolution Problems in Fracture Mechanics”
</p>
<p>will take place at SISSA in Trieste in the framework of the ERC Advanced Grant “Quasistatic and Dynamic Evolution Problems in Plasticity and Fracture”.
</p>
<p>The activities will be organized around the following minicourses, with daily lectures.
</p>

<b><a href='/seminar/318/'>Strict approximation, convex duality, uniqueness, and regularity for BV-minimizers</a></b><br />

<b>Abstract.</b> <p>The first part of this seminar will be concerned with an issue of strict interior approximation for sets of finite perimeter and functions of bounded variation. Then, I will turn to extremality relations between BV-minimizers of variational integrals and dual solutions in the sense of convex analysis. Finally, I am planning to make connections to uniqueness and regularity results for these minimizers. The presented results are based on joint works with Lisa Beck.</p>
