    <b>Postdoctoral research position in Mathematics University of

      Cergy-Pontoise</b><br>

    Applications are invited for a postdoctoral research position to

    work on the project Stochastic systems in mathematics and

    mathematical physics (STOSYMAP). This position, funded by the Agence

    Nationale de la Recherche, is available from 1 December 2012 (or as

    soon as possible thereafter) for 6 months and is renewable once or

    twice. The main goal of the STOSYMAP project is to develop tools for

    studying mathematical aspects of turbulence in various physical

    To apply for the postdoc position, you need to send by e-mail the

    •ааа a curriculum vitae (including full list of publications);<br>

    •ааа the contact details of two referees.<br>

    The deadline for sending an application is 15 October 2012. The

    successful applicant has to have his/her PhD completed within the

    last five years and is expected to have good knowledge in at least

    two of the following fields: nonlinear PDE's, probability theory and

    stochastic processes, ergodic theory, numerical analysis.

    Proficiency in French is not mandatory.<br>

    The successful applicant will be employed by the Mathematics

    Department of the University of Cergy-Pontoise and will have full

    benefit of its excellent research environment. He/she will be

    mentored by Professor Sergei Kuksin (in collaboration with other

    members of the project) and is expected to spend part of the time at

    Institut Mathématiques de Jussieu in Paris. The net salary will be

    about 2.000 д per month.<br>
