The seminar will tie together two active research directions: complex fluids and long time behavior of Euler, Navier-Stokes and related equations. The seminar will focus on new trends in the investigation of long time behavior, mixing, emergence of coherent structures, topological change and singularity formation in fluids. There will be three pedagogical mini-courses aimed at exposing students to the themes of long time behavior and inviscid limit, of complex fluids and of singularity formation. Problem sessions will accompany these courses, during which specific open problems will be stated and discussed.
